Starting December 15, 2008, I took a year off to travel around the world, with two rules: no planes and (almost) no reservations. The planned route is due south from Arkansas, through Central America and the west side of South America. Over to Argentina, boat to South Africa, and up the east side of Africa. Then Eastern Europe, the Trans-Siberian railroad, bit of China, SE Asia, then Australia, New Zealand and the three week boat ride home.
One of the many things that I loved about Angkor Wat was that you saw a good number of Monks wandering around taking pictures, looking at everything (and best scene, though no photo, smoking) and generally being tourists.
Great shot. It actually looks like he's looking at himself in a mirror at first glance. I could't put my camera down when I was in Cambodia. Every where you turned there was another great image waiting to be taken.
Monks... taking pictures? They have cameras? Wow! I never thought of it!
ReplyDeleteYea -- is really cool to see them as total tourists. Wonderful juxtaposition.
